STUDIO NEWS 20th Dec 2021
With the latest covid surge in London, I’ve decided to close the studio a little early for the Christmas holidays to protect our community. We appreciate that this isn’t great news but we will continue to LIVESTREAM classes online.
May I take this opportunity to thank you all for your commitment to Hot Yoga Peckham throughout the year and for bringing your positive vibes to the studio! Hopefully things will improve in 2022.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
Stevie and the team

STAYING SAFE TOGETHER
Following concerns of a new covid variant we are asking our teachers and students to wear a face mask when moving around the studio (this may be removed during practice, if you wish). Please sanitise upon arrival. Teachers will be asked to stay on their mat during practice. We will increase studio ventilation and operate a reduced capacity of 12 studio spaces. We will continue to LIVESTREAM classes to your home.

loving kindness
Buddhist practice metta bhavana or loving kindness
It's the time of the year for kindness, compassion and gratitude to yourself and others.
Loving kindness to oneself, is about being realistic and knowing your limits, how much you can give and your boundaries. If you have the rising feeling that you are giving and giving and resentment is building up, take this as a sign that you need to spend time being kind and loving to yourself.
Buddhism, which the mindfulness field has mostly drawn from, works from the principle that kindness always needs to start at home. You can only really be there for others if you have a strong foundation of self-love, self-kindness and confidence to tap into.

Turn toward the light
As the Autumn equinox passes, nightfall arrives sooner.
This waning sunlight initiates a distinct and perceptible shift in our terrestrial environment as the sweetness of summer begins to fade and the top half of our planet retreats from the heat of the sun.
The autumnal equinox is our invitation to turn toward the light within.
Use this time to surrender to your inner gravity, connect with your breath, ask difficult questions and listen deeply for what arises. This is a time for meditation and rest.
